Liz decided to start sewing after a trip to the mall to find a nice fitting dress was a bust. After a few years of apparel sewing at home, her wonderful husband Matt started working long hours across town. Looking for something to fill the evening hours she joined A to Z Quilters in Peoria and started quilting. In 2019, Liz and her husband moved to Prescott and were soon joined by a new Gammill 26 inch Statler Computerized Longarm Quilting Machine. Liz is now a member of Lonesome Valley Quilt Guild in Prescott Valley. In addition to sewing for friends and family, Liz enjoys making full-size quilts and clothes for foster kids.

Liz Mills made the above quilt using leftover bits collected from the A to Z Quilters members. The quilt was donated to Arizona Helping Hands, which provides needed items to foster children. The quilt top and the quilting were done on a 1980's Singer Model 6233.
